A framed watercolour painting of 'The Battle of Aylesford Tapestry' (1878). E.M. Ward painted this picture for the tapissiers at the Old Windsor Tapestry Manufactory. The Battle of Aylesford was a battle between the Britons and the Anglo-Saxons and was set down in writing in the 'Anglo-Saxon Chronicle' and the 'Historia Brittonum'. Neither source confirms the victor, however.Measurements: 914 x 305
