In February 1908 the Theatre Royal was completely gutted by a devastating fire. The damage caused to the building is neatly encapsulated by this little black and white postcard, which was photographed close to the Canons’ Residences in the castle grounds. A brand new Theatre Royal was built in the image and place of its predecessor in 1910.Measurements: 140 x 89
