15 novels by Mrs Oliphant. Born on 4th April 1828, Margaret Oliphant Wilson married her cousin, Frank Wilson Oliphant in 1852. Her married name was Margaret Oliphant Wilson Oliphant but she usually wrote as 'Mrs. Oliphant'. Her fictional works were often set in the present time she was writing but she also wrote historical novels and tales of the supernatural. She found inspiration for her novels in the town and Queen Victoria loved to read her stories. Originally from Scotland, she moved to Windsor so that her sons could go to school at Eton College. She lived at Clarence Crescent, Windsor for many years. She died in Wimbledon, London on 25th June 1897.Measurements: 195 x 132 x 20
