In this watercolour, A.Y. Nutt, architect and artist, has recorded a large pine tree standing in the grounds of Fort Belvedere in Surrey, with a number of small rabbits at the foot of the trunk. Fort Belvedere was originally built for Prince William Augustus, Duke of Cumberland in 1750-55. At the time of this painting, however, Queen Victoria was using it as a private tea room. We believe this was painted about 1890.Measurements: 152 x 229
